---- PROTOTYPE --------- PURPOSE: To develop a computer interface that tracks the movement of a user’s head, allowing them to produce electronic sounds and compose music on a virtual keyboard. Working with a team of musicians and programmers; Zane Van Dusen, Rensselaer Polytech Institute senior, creates a device to be used by individuals with severe mobility disabilities. This prototype allows individuals with severe mobility disabilities to express his or her creativity through music. The user lines his or herself up with a camera, and as the head bobs, software determines the X and Y coordinates and translate the information into which note to be played or trigger a specific sound.
