The Maltron Expanded Keyboard is an expanded keyboard designed for use by individuals with fine motor or other upper extremity disabilities, upper extremity amputation, or tremors. The keyboard may be placed on the floor or fixed at the foot of a bed for typing with toes. This keyboard features strong steel construction to withstand heavy use and a polyester coating for a smooth, wipe-clean surface. The large surface area and built-in key guard are designed to reduce keyboard errors. The unit is angle-adjustable. The front slope angle can be changed from 13 to 53 degrees in 10 degree increments by fitting the included end plates to give the preferred angle. This keyboard also features large and color-coded key labels and 9 space keys (8 need + 1 spare). This keyboard also offer QWERTY and FOU (Frequency of Use) layouts. The FOU layout, which reduces hand movements, may be selected by a switch on the rear and the key tops relocated by taking off the top cover. Layout diagrams are included in the user handbook. The Maltron Keyboards have all the functions of a standard keyboard and are available in the following languages: British English, American English, and French. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers with a USB port. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 24 x 9.5 x 3 inches. WEIGHT: 14 pounds. WARRANTY: 1-year warranty.
